T&K Attorney Reappointed to Houston Arts Alliance Board of Directors
Houston, Texas - The global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Partner Boris A. Hidalgo has been reappointed to a three-year term on the Houston Arts Alliance ("HAA") Board of Directors. The Houston City Council confirmed his reappointment on July 14, 2010, after being nominated by Mayor Annise Parker. He was originally appointed by Mayor Bill White in 2008. Hidalgo also serves on the HAA's Executive, Human Resources, Marketing, and Grants Committees.
Hidalgo focuses his practice on general civil and complex commercial litigation in federal and state trial and appellate courts, federal bankruptcy courts, and before arbitration panels. His clients include major corporations in a variety of industry groups, including architecture, automotive, banking, construction, engineering, insurance, manufacturing, oil and gas, ranching, real estate, retail, seismic data, shipping, and timber management.
The HAA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization founded in 2006. Their mission is to support and promote artistic life in the Houston region through programs, initiatives, and alliances. The HAA commissions new public art for the City of Houston and distributes more than $10 million annually in grants to arts organizations and individual artists.
