T&K Attorney Named Monterrey's "Most Outstanding Corporate Lawyer of the Year"

Monterrey, Mexico - The global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to congratulate Alejandro F. Sánchez-Mújica for being named the "Most Outstanding Corporate Lawyer of the Year" by the Monterrey Bar Association. The award was presented on July 9, 2010, as part of the local "Día del Abogado" celebration.

Presented by the Monterrey Bar Association each year since 1977, the prestigious award is given to leading members of the local legal community who stand out for their excellent work and unwavering commitment to the practice of law.

Sánchez-Mújica is Of Counsel to the Corporate and Securities Practice Group in the Firm's Monterrey office and serves as Legal Director and Secretary of the Board of Vitro, S.A.B. de C.V. His previous experience includes serving for more than 11 years as in-house counsel for a large Mexican conglomerate involved in the insurance, agrobiotechnology, telemarketing, financing, and construction areas. Sánchez-Mújica also served for more than seven years as in-house counsel for another large Mexican corporation involved in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, agribusiness, and pharmochemical industries.
