Practice Description

Millie A. Sall focuses her practice on corporate reorganization, debtor and creditors' rights, corporate crisis management, and cross-border insolvency matters. Her practice includes national and regional representation of chapter 11 debtor corporations in the oil and gas, manufacturing, retail, retail-franchise, real estate, food and beverage, construction, and hotel industries. She has represented creditor committees, lenders, secured and unsecured creditors, purchasers of estate assets, claims traders, shareholders, and non-debtor entities in chapter 7 and 11 proceedings. She has experience litigating in federal courts, with an emphasis on bankruptcy court practice and procedures.

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ms. Sall is a native Spanish speaker. She is also proficient in French and Portuguese.

  • Represented sole shareholder and purchaser of largest asset of estate in In re Ye Seekers, Inc.

  • Represented Dallas State Court Appointed Receiver of two non-debtor entities in In re Heart of Texas Heath Care & Rehabilitation Centers Inc. et al

  • Represented competing plan proponent and asset purchaser in In re Pilgreen Production, Inc.

  • Represented claims trader with more than $2MM in purchased unsecured claims in In re El Paso Refinery Inc., where liquidating trustee unsuccessfully challenged client's entitlement to 100% payout distribution
